Community Coalition for Health's mission is to advance community health and wellbeing in the Eastern Crescent of Austin along all of the social determinants of health: economic stability, education access and quality, health care access and quality, neighborhood and built environment, and social and community context. Our goal is to empower, inform, and inspire individuals to lead healthy lifestyles while equipping them with the tools they need through clinics and educational programs that will aide in longevity for the betterment of the families and the community.
C2H committed to the following Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services (CLAS) standards:
1. Recruit, promote, and support a culturally and linguistically diverse governance, leadership, and workforce that are responsible to the population in the service area
2. Educate and train governance, leadership, and workforce in culturally and linguistically appropriate policies and practices on and ongoing basis
3. Offer language assistance to individuals who have limited English proficiency and/or other communication needs, at no cost to them, to facilitate timely access to all health care and services
4. Collect and maintain accurate and reliable demographic data to monitor the impact of CLAS on health equity and outcomes and to inform service delivery
